Bret Brintzenhofe is a self-taught visual artist based in New York City.
This website features selected works Bret has made since 2020.
The works on this site are divided into three categories. Photos, which Bret takes while moving aroun. Collages, which he assembles by intuition. And kinetic and colorful improvised drawings, paintings & cutouts. The images reflect the ever-changing feelings and experiences that life inevitably brings.
Bret's art is influenced by his father, Keith, a technologist and former master printer at Universal Limited Art Editions; his uncle Rick, a prolific New York and Zurich-based painter; and his great aunt Frida Otto, who made realist oil paintings of nature through the seasons. Bret also finds inspiration in comic book and graffiti artists and filmmakers.
